GENESIS 13:18

Genesis 13:18 examines how material fragments come to carry the memory of a life. Embroidered personal objects are concealed beneath the carved surface of an oak panel, forming a structure that sits between an altar, an archive, and a reliquary. Rather than constructing a chronological autobiography, the work assembles a personal typology in which identity emerges through residue, contact, and preservation. The title refers to the oaks of Mamre, where Abraham built an altar following his covenant with God. Here, that architecture is redirected toward a private system of memory, where ordinary objects acquire significance through their association with a particular life.
